Meet Natalie Webb, Chair of the Leadership Committee
Tell us a bit about yourself…
I’m delighted to channel my passion for the community and voluntary sector into Chairing the HIVCA Leadership Committee. I’ve got a wide-ranging background across different sectors, including many years in Local Government, and in the last ten years, experience in leadership roles in the voluntary sector. I am currently the CEO of No Limits: which combines my love for the sector with my soul driven commitment to children and young people. I’m also a mum, a foster carer, a netball give-it-a-goer and an over excited car karaoke participant!
What are you passionate about?
I’ve always wanted to make a positive difference to society. I find myself drawn, probably because of my own life experiences, to wanting to work in organisations that support children, women, or those in crisis. I want to make people’s lives better, and I want to work in a system that is effective and efficient and supports people early on. I’m deeply interested in system change and find myself always wanting to do more, and work with others, to create sustainable systemic change. I know that the public sector has a huge job on its hands, and it can’t do what it needs to it without the voluntary and community sector who are often closest to the people we’re all here to serve and providing engagement and enrichment to our communities.
Why did you want to be on the HIVCA leadership committee?
I have a lot of energy about our sector, and for making a difference through system change, so being involved in HIVCA works brilliantly. I enjoy taking that wider sector approach, and the No Limits Trustee Board are supportive of that too: they also recognise the need for broader system-based partnership working. I’ve been supported to undertake training in system leadership through the Leadership for Population Health Programme with The King’s Fund and be part of the NHS England South Transformation Programme, and I’m pleased to bring those skills to the HIVCA Leadership Committee.
